The Duke of Ed is all about young Aussies getting out there and being active in both mind and body, so when it is National Youth Week we are definitley supporters!
NYW is the largest celebration of young people in Australia with thousands of young people all across Australia get involved in
What it's about
NYW aims to encourage young people to:
- share ideas
- attend live events
- have their voices heard on issues of concern to them
- showcase their talents
- celebrate their contribution to the community
- take part in competitions,
- and
have fun!
Why not use some of that spirit you have from The Duke of Ed and take part!
You may be able to even use some of it towards your Award
E.g. organising an event for national youth week as part of your volunteering, or work on an art piece and submit it into an exhibition for part of your skill!
