The International Gold Event (IGE) that took place in Kenya welcomed 92 delegates from 32 countries. To close the IGE all delegates took part in a youth forum where 6 different workshops analysed an issue and engaged the International Council (IC), Secretariat Staff and other stakeholders to deepen their understanding of various topics.

Workshops included discussions on:
- Partnerships
- Award Holders Networks
- Environment and Sustainability
- Youth Engagement
- Youth Employment and Skills
- Communications
IGE delegates also formulated strategic plans and began to explore next steps on how they planned to further engage after the IGE. Delegates each made an individual pledge on how they would make an impact and be a part of The Award post IGE.
We would like to congratulate our four Australian delegates, Alan Huynh, Erin Hill and Ramla and Lucky Giirre on their involvement in the IGE. We look forward to seeing great things from each of our delegates in future.
