Award Administration Training

Are you interested in becoming a Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Coordinator? Are you already a Coordinator, Instructor or Assessor? This is essential training for you!

The NSW Divsion conducts Award Administration Training for Coordinators, Instructors, Assessors and other adults involved with, or interested in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. As part of the registration process it is mandatory for all Coordinators to complete Award Administration Training so that they are fully aware of implications and responsibilities involved with operating the Award.

The training covers various aspects of running the Award, including:

  • Administering the Award
  • Award sections and activities
  • Operator responsibilities
  • Promoting the Award
  • Insurance
  • and much more

NSW Gold Award Ceremony

The New South Wales Duke of Edinburgh’s Award hosts three Gold Award presentations held on the Southern Lawn at Government House, Macquarie Street (intersection with Bridge Street), Sydney.

As Vice Regal Patron of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO, Governor of New South Wales presents Awardees with their certificate. To achieve the Gold Award, these dedicated young people have taken part in a wide range of activities including community service, challenging and physically demanding expeditions, physical recreation, skill development and a residential project.

Included in the official ceremony, Award Coordinators are introduced to Her Excellency after the Awardees have received their certificates.

Each Awardee is professionally photographed and proofs are sent directly to Awardees within 10 days of the event.
