These are all similar to The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, but aimed at different audiences and have different time requirements for each level of each Award.
An expeditioning program also exists - OzQuest:Young Australian Adventures - www.ozquest.org.au
The Compass Award
The Compass Award is for 10-14 year olds. In structure, it is similar to The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, however, the time requirements are different. There are four levels. While it isn't prescribed where Participants start their Award, we recommend a 10 year old starting at Level 1 and a 13 year old starting Level 4. The Compass Award can be used as a feeder into the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
The Bridge Award
The Bridge Award caters for mentally and physically disabled 14-25 year olds who are unable to grasp the concept of how Dukes works. Again, the structure is similar to Dukes for both levels 1 and 2, with time requirements being the difference. The Bridge Award can also be used as a feeder into The Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
The Challenge Award
The Challenge Award is for mentally ill 25+ year olds whose mental capabilities are significantly younger than their physical age. There are three levels, with time requirements being the main difference between The Challenge Award and a Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
