Lydia Gawa 

Lydia Gawa, Executive Officer 

Lydia Gawa, B.A. (Psych), MIPH, Grad. Dip. Gov&PubPol. Lydia is the manager of the NT Division and oversees operations of the organisation, including ensuring effective leadership and aligning with National Strategic goals. Her key areas of focus are overseeing finances, HR, business operations, governance, risk management and marketing.  Lydia reports directly to the Chair and committee. When she is not at her desk, Lydia can be found in a cinema or on a soccer, touch or tennis pitch. Lydia wants people of all ages, but especially our youth, to feel the excitement and power that comes from focussing on things they are passionate about.

 

Ally Pettifor 

Ally Pettifor, Development Officer

Ally is responsible for managing and monitoring License Agreements with Registered Award Operators, keeping current records/databases, training, recruiting and supporting Coordinators, promoting awareness and understanding of The Duke of Ed, Increasing delivery options, encouraging active participation, retention and completion of The Award program, and apply and /or acquit grants. A Gold Participant of The Award, Ally enjoys public speaking, art, personal fitness and wellbeing. Growing up in the Northern Territory,  you will usually find her hunting, fishing or quad bike riding after hours.

 

Jessica Thackeray

Jessica Thackeray, Trainee Development and Administration Officer

Jess is responsible for keeping track of The Duke of Ed- NT’s finances and is undergoing training to offer Participants and Co-ordinators of The Award support and to promote knowledge and understanding of the program. As a Silver Participant of the Award she is eager to provide Participants with fresh ideas to fulfil each of their sections. Her interests include horse-riding, photography, public speaking and kick boxing. She volunteers with the Red Cross Foundation at the Royal Darwin Hospital.
