WANT TO DO YOUR DUKE OF ED, BUT DON'T HAVE A GROUP TO DO IT WITH?

Step 2 - Reigster Online
Register online at www.dukeofed.com.au by selecting "WA" as your State/National Operator and "Independent Award Office" as your organisation.
Submit your registration
Step 3 - Verify your Email
You will need to access the email account that you have used in the online registration process. An email will be received from info@orb.theaward.com.au requiring you to verify your email address. Please do so by clicking the link within the email.
Step 4 - Receive Username and Password
When your registration has been acknoweledged by your Award Coordinator (the Independent Award Office), you will receive a username and password via email that will allow you to access the Online Record Book. The Online Record Book (ORB) allows you to log your activities going towards your Award. For more information on the ORB and how this works, please click here.
Step 5 - Setting up your Online Record Book Account
Select your activities for each section of The Award. Stuck on ideas? Be sure to visit our pages which have plenty of options for each section.
Step 6 - Choose your Assessors
You will require an Assessor for each section of your Duke of Ed. Your Assessors need to be adults (18+) who are either qualified or experienced in your chosen activities.
Goals need to be set with your Assessors for each section of your Award to help monitor your progress. All Assessors require Working With Children Checks if you are under 18 (see www.checkwwc.wa.gov.au for further information).
Step 7 - Have your Award Assessed
When you have completed the required time frame for each section of your Award, your Assessors will write a progress report. This will include your achievements, your progress and how you have worked to reach your goals. Your Assessors will then sign off the section as complete.
After all sections have been completed and Assessors have submitted their reports, The WA Award Office will receive notification for final approval for your selected Award Level. If you are completing your Bronze or Silver Awards, your certificate and badge will be sent directly to you. You may then proceed to the next Award Level.
If you complete you Gold Award as an Independent Participant, we will send a letter notifying you that you have completed your Gold Award. You will be invited to the Western Australia Gold Award Ceremony, held annually.
Step 8 - Seek Assistance where Needed
During the process of completing your Award, the Western Australia Award Office will be your main point of contact and a source of assistance and support.
